Information – Electroacoustic Alerting Facility – Voice Alarm (Summary)



Description:

Alerting Facilities acc. DIN VDE 0833 Part 1, item 2.3 (Edition 1/89) suit the purpose as Electrical Alerting Facilities to call for help in cases of emergency or to give poeple warning of an emergency situation. They can be part or additional attachment of a hazard alert system.

Explanation to item 2.3:

It applies to Alerting Facilities only (no more to Alerting Systems), which are part or additional attachment of a hazard alert system.

Fire Alarm Systems, Video Surveillance and other Security Systems detect imminent dangers and set off danger alarm.

Electroacoustic Alerting Facilities are able to transmit immediate and specific information to concerned group of persons, as well as guide action forces, who are in charge of hazard defense - without delay – referred to as Voice Alarm.

Application area:

The Electroacoustic Alerting Facility as Voice Alarm System is part of the safety-related equipment of buildings and structures
and is put to use in particular in:
